What factors affect the cost of a duct cleaning?

Number of supply/return vents in the home:Supply and return vents (also called “drops”) move conditioned air through your home. The number of supply/return vents is a good indicator of how long a job will take, and how much work needs to be done. Usually, larger homes have more rooms and more supply/return vents, which in turn increases the total cost of the cleaning.
Type of contaminants in the ductwork: Nine times out of ten, your duct cleaning professional will find nothing inside your ducts except for dust and grime. Occasionally, however, something else is found that requires immediate attention. Because of how humid southeast Florida can get, mold can be a major problem. If we do find mold, we’ll tell you immediately and share options on how to remove it.
(Optional) Suggested ductwork repairs: Older homes should have their ductwork assessed for damage from time to time. Ductwork that’s in disrepair can lead to high energy bills and may cause parts of your home to receive no conditioned air at all. If our duct cleaners find portions of your ductwork in disrepair, we will share those findings with you, and leave it up to you whether you’d like to include the repair with your service.

We’ll also estimate how long we’ll be in the home, and do everything we can to give you your privacy during the job.

After we’ve blocked off your air vents and scrubbed down the interior walls of your ductwork, we’ll use a HEPA-filtered vacuum to suck up all the nasty stuff that remains.
